在两国签署协议八个月后，中国又批准了越南的293个种植区和115个包装设施，用于向其出口新鲜榴莲。
据越南通讯社报道，越南农业和农村发展部正在与中国海关总署合作，批准另外400个农业区和60个包装设施。
越南去年9月首次向中国出口这种水果，全年出口4.6万吨，占水果出口总量的78%。
越南水果协会秘书长 Dang Phuc Nguyen 表示，批准更多的榴莲种植区将鼓励更多的农民和贸易商出口到中国。

他说，榴莲可以全年收获，产量大，越南可以比泰国更快地将水果运到中国，泰国已经种植了数十年榴莲。
但他补充说，越南需要提高质量和打造品牌才能在庞大的中国市场中竞争。
